Description: GWNET took part in an International Solar Energy Society (ISES) webinar. During this webinar, the results of the IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) study on gender and renewables were presented and discussed, and speakers from IRENA, GWNET and REDMEREE (Red Mujeres en Energía Renovalbe y Efficiencia Energética) presented the perspectives of women in the renewables sector. The aim of this webinar was to highlight the perspective of women working in solar energy, their professional as well as personal experience, their achievements, as well as to demonstrate that a successful energy transformation can only be achieved when renewables become powered by equality!
